What did I do? My group was debating several ideas, including a very small board game, a video game, and a small marble track. The product we had finally decided on was a marble track, The product had stood at Five feet tall, and three feet wide. the construction of the product included three separate pieces to make up the face of the project. we had to take several two foot by five foot pieces of plywood and cut them into three different pieces, their sizes persisting of one foot by three foot for the bottom piece, and two Three foot by Two foot pieces. We had put them together using two 2x4 pieces of wood to connect to the backs of the plywood. We had used wood glue to attach the track to the Plywood as well, after painting them of course.
I think that my group had struggled with thinking of a product and presentation as we all had different Ideas and views on our subject, though I definitely think that our final product was the best it could have been in the amount of time we were given. My main contribution to the group was writing my section and giving suggestions to my group members on what to write, helping create the files, cutting the wood to the proper sizes, getting the plywood pieces engraved, painting, and Assembling the pieces into our final product.
Something I would have done differently is how we approached the product and the steps we took. The way we approached the problem was hardly efficient and didn't pay off as well as we thought it would. The ideal way to have done it would have been to have everyone helping to prep and assemble tracks and plywood boards, and make sure that the work was divided properly. Our mistake was having myself and one partner construct the final product while the other two colleagues were upstairs trying to figure out something that had already been discussed.
